For those of you that have not been to our studio, Lexi is our studio cat. She will be two years old on April 27, 2007. According to kitty years she will be 24 years old.
Lexi is a true tabby. This is evident by the “M” on her forehead. According to an Italian legend this is because when Christ was born no person or beast could make him fall asleep. That was until a tabby cat jumped into the manger and started to purr. The purring worked and the Infant fell asleep. In appreciation, Mary gave a soft pat on the tabby’s forehead. Where Mary’s fingers touched the tabby’s forehead it created the “M” marking as a sign of her eternal gratitude (Why Do Cats?).
Lexi was adopted from the Heart of America Humane Society outreach through PETsMART. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you’ll have a friend for life!
