Can I see a photo of what your Santas look like and when they are scheduled?
We have created a special page on our main website with our Santa schedule and what the Santas look like. At the bottom of that web page is a photo of each of our Santas.
What will Santa wear for my visit?
Santa wears his traditional red velveteen sleigh wear.
Can we schedule and appointment to visit Santa?
Yes, the days of waiting in interminably long lines with a restless child are over! You can now schedule an appointment to visit Santa. We only allow two appointments per time slot to create a no-wait system that gets you in and out and on your way. There is a $15 deposit due via credit card when scheduling which will be applied to your purchase. Appointments are available through Dec 21st. No appointments are allowed on Dec 22nd or 23rd. Those days operate on a first-come, first-served basis only. Visit schedule.jordanphotography.com to schedule your appointment.
Why do you charge a $15 deposit when we schedule an appointment?
The deposit is charged in an effort to discourage double-booking appointments and no shows. The $15 deposit due via credit card when scheduling is applied to your purchase. You can cancel your appointment online up to 24 hours before your scheduled appointment without being charged a cancellation fee. Late cancellations or No-Shows are subject to a $15 cancellation fee.
Why is there a $1 transaction on my credit card after booking an appointment?
This it not a charge, but a hold. A temporary $1 hold is placed on the card as part of the verification step of the Genbook credit card capture process. It will disappear back into the account within a few business days.
What if I have to cancel my appointment?
We understand things come up, illness, weather, etc. As soon as you know you are unable to make your appointment we request you cancel your appointment online. All appointment confirmation emails will contain a cancellation link. You can cancel your appointment online up to 24 hours before your scheduled appointment without being charged a cancellation fee. Late cancellations or No-Shows are subject to a $15 cancellation fee. If available, you can reschedule for another day and time. We do everything we can to try to fit families in if we have any cancellations.
Do you take walk-ins or do we have to schedule an appointment?
Appointments are not required! If you don’t have an appointment, photos will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis between scheduled appointments. We only allow two scheduled appointments per time slot to allow those without appointments the opportunity for pictures.
What are the best times to visit Santa without an appointment?
November and early December are the best time to visit. Lines are always shorter earlier in the season and generally earlier in the day. The closer to Christmas the busier Santa gets.
Can we bring our pets in for a photo with Santa?
Yes you can bring your pet. No appointment is necessary but we request you schedule the session online. Scheduled sessions allow us the opportunity to prepare for you in advance. When you arrive, please meet our staff at the door and let them know you have a pet. We request that your pet wait outside until their turn. All pets are welcome, but must be secured on leash, in a carrier or held by the owner at all times. For everyone’s safety, please do not bring your pet if they have a history of biting or aggression with people or other animals.
If I’m coming with another family, do we need to book separate appointments?
If you are seeing Santa separately or together it is best to book different appointments to make sure Santa is able to spend quality time with each child. We only book two appointments per time slot so most likely you can see Santa in the same time slots.
How much time do we get with Santa?
Each session will last around five minutes. This will give your little one(s) time to interact with Santa. The closer to Christmas the busier Santa gets and is not able to spend as much time with each child.
What are some ideas of things we can do during our session with Santa?
Your child can bring a wish list to share with Santa. Santa may show them pictures from our Christmas book. You can even bring their Elf On The Shelf for a few photos.
What are some ideas of things to wear during our session with Santa?
You can dress your child up in their Christmas best, pile on the hats and mittens or come in Christmas pajamas.
How can we prepare a child that may be scared to visit Santa?
You want Santa to be a good experience for your child and help them over any anxiety they may have. The key to overcoming Santa-induced stress is talking about what to expect. Explaining and describing what Santa looks like, and telling them that they don’t have to go up alone can help them feel prepared. It’s important to make it clear that if they get in line and change their mind, that’s OK. If a child wants to be nowhere near Santa, let them know there are other ways to get in touch with Santa such as writing a letter or draw a picture. Be sure to let your children know Santa will still get the message.
What if my child is scared and wants to be nowhere near Santa?
Peek A Boo Santa Sessions work great for children that are scared and want to be nowhere near Santa. For Parents who have their hearts set on a great photo of their child with Santa, we have developed some ways to increase that possibility. If you know in advance that your child wants nothing to do with Santa, you can try our Peek A Boo Santa option. It is best to try this option before your child has seen Santa. Santa will be hidden when the child enters the portrait area. One way in pulling this off is to explain to your child that Santa is checking on his reindeer and that you want a portrait of them by themselves, with their siblings or with you. We set up the shot by keeping the child’s attention on the photographer. At the right moment; Santa will appear to place himself in the photo without the child knowing. Sometimes parents need to be in the photo to get a child to relax so be prepared and dress accordingly. We will spend a reasonable amount of time working with nervous children. Pictures will be made with Santa behind the subject(s) and if possible on Santa’s lap.
What are your prices?
Our packages start at $23 for two 4 X 6 photos. We have many print combinations available which include multiples of 4 X 6, 5 X 7 and wallets.
Can I order prints from more than one pose/image?
We take several photos during your visit with Santa. You may add poses/images to any package for an additional charge of $3 each. This does not mean that you are getting any more than what is included in your package.
When will my prints be ready?
Immediately. A professional photographer will take your photos with Santa, one of our staff will show you your pictures and after you place your print order your prints are ready within minutes.
Do you offer high resolution digital images?
We do offer digital files. They are included in package A and B or you can purchase the digital file alone. The purchase of digital files come with a “permission to print” release allowing unlimited personal use reproductions up to size 8×10.
Do you offer photo Christmas cards?
Yes! We most definitely do. We have several fabulous card templates to choose from and each card comes with a mailing envelope. After you place your print order your prints are usually ready within minutes. Depending on the number of cards you order, you can wait for them to print or come back at your convenience to pick them up.
Can we take our own pictures?
We respectfully request that you refrain from using personal photographic or video equipment. Personal photos or videos are not permitted during professional photography sessions. Professional photographer will end the photo session if personal cameras or camera phones are used. Videotaping is not permitted in the session at any time. We appreciate your cooperation and wish your family a very Merry Christmas!
Do we have to buy a photo?
Visits with Santa are always welcome. There is no obligation to purchase a photo. If you scheduled your appointment to visit Santa, your $15 deposit is non refundable.
Do you accommodate groups?
Certainly. Obviously, we are somewhat limited by the overall space, but we will always try and accommodate your group. If scheduling an appointment, each family should have a separate appointment. Group photographs can be accommodated as long as both families have booked appointments in the same time slot.
What is Sensory Friendly Santa?
Sensory Friendly Santa is a program designed to allow children with sensory processing disorders to visit Santa in a safe and calm environment. This program is a joint effort between Jordan Photography, local autism societies and organizations.
